Faucets with low-flow aerators deliver up to 45% water savings over traditional 2.75 gpm faucets.

A few tips, from the water-conservation green technology handbook, can make a big difference, in reducing you water consumption, everyday.

  • When brushing your teeth, only run the water to rinse your brush and to rinse out the sink, when you are finished.
  • Don't run the water to get it hot, before filling the tub, for a bath. Close the drain and adjust the water temperature as the tub fills.
  • Only flush the toilet when disposing of human waste. Do not use it to dispose of trash.
  • When shaving, only run the water to rinse your razor and to rinse out the sink, when you are finished.

Using a water filtration system is not only, a great way to have clean bottled quality water, available anytime, but an environmentally friendly way, to save the earth. Use refillable bottles for daily use and you can always be assured, of the quality, of the water you consume.

    Did You Know?

    • In 2006, Americans drank about 167 bottles of water each, but only recycled an average of 23 percent. That leaves 38 billion water bottles in landfills, bodies of water or roadside.
    • Bottled water costs between $1 and $4 per gallon and 90 percent of the cost are in the bottle, lid and label.
    • According to the Beverage Marketing Corp, the average American consumed 1.6 gallons of bottled water in 1976. In 2006 that number jumped to 28.3 gallons per person.
    • It takes over 1.5 million barrels of oil to treat and package a year's supply of bottled water. That's enough oil to fuel 100,000 cars.
    • Eight, out of every 10 plastic water bottles, become landfill waste.
    • Plastic bottles take 700 years before they begin to decompose in a landfill.
